| In my opinion, AIMS provides a very good atmosphere to study for those
who are serious about their profession. Unlike most other campuses, here
we experience no interruption in our studies due to strikes, hartals, bandhs or
any other political unrests.
The strictly disciplined atmosphere is highly helpful to pursue one's
academic goals without distraction. The total infrastructure is ultra modern
with a highly competent faculty who are helpful and available at any given
time for advice & consultation or for suggestions in improvement. The
library with loads of both classic and latest text books is a great boon. Yet
another feature of the AIMS campus is the presence of a wide student
community from all over the country and even from abroad. This exposes us
to a genuinely global fraternity, which I believe, will help all of us in the long
run, in many ways. |

| It all started as a dream - 'Me, an MBBS student at the Amrita
Institute of Medical Sciences'. It was a dream no more, I had
stepped into a new dimension.
The emblem of AIMS on my white coat is like a medal of
achievement. The uniform creates an aura of my being ' The
Selected One', humble yet proud and focused on my ultimate goal.
I had joined the course expecting the word ' studies' to become
synonymous of the word 'life'. But I was in for a surprise! This
institution is always bubbling with energy and activities one after
the other. Starting from cleaning the campus to greeting the
President of the country, from conducting programs for small
communities and exhibitions to being executive volunteers in
National Conferences in our hospital and before I knew it I was a
2nd year student.
I also get to boast about being a part of an immaculate hospital,
probably the most dynamic one today. |

| I call myself ' lucky ' because I am now,
part of Amma's divine family. Once
into the family, I was dumbfounded by
the pleasing manners with which the
people move around. It's to me, more
or less a home away from home. After
coming here as a student and starting
my academic activities, I now realise
the changes that have occurred deep
within me. The teachings of Amma and
other spiritual emissaries have made a
deep impact on my life. In fact I have
seen the values like selflessness,
compassion, honesty, patience etc.,
being practiced to the fullest extent rather than just
being preached. I fully
imbibed from this campus the
concept of selfless service. |
