Applications are invited for the next session of our fellowship programme commencing from September 2008.

The fellowship is for one year and will include a comprehensive training in diagnosis and management of common retinal disorders with exposure to surgical management as well. At the end of the training period we aim to make the candidate well versed in indirect ophthalmoscopy, fluorescein angiography and OCT, all laser procedures using both slit lamp and indirect ophthalmoscope delivery systems, intravitreal injections, cryotherapy of anterior lesions and to be familiar with basic retinal surgeries-vitrectomy and buckling procedures. The trainee will be expected to keep him (her) self aware of latest developments in retina and be active academically. He/She will have teaching responsibilities as well as the opportunity for presentations and publications. Community ophthalmology work and carrying out procedures at outreach centers, as part of our teleophthalmology project will also be expected of the trainee.

The candidate should have MS, DO or DNB from a recognized institution with an avid interest in posterior segment disorders.
